' After 30 years in Alaska, The Great Land still holds me like a spell. I have been working for the Municipality of Anchorage for 25 years now, and traveling as often as possible: the states, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Italy is next after NH in July for our 35th reunion. My children are living around the world, and each is doing well. Pura vida! I hope to see you all the reunion! '

I spent 4 years in the Navy as a member of the SeaBees (Construction Mechanic). I then got married (to Fay Mulkhey class of 1975) and spent the next 7 years in the Air Force where I learned about programming computers. I spent 5 years at Offutt Air Force base programming 3D graphics software for B-52 and cruise missile mission planning. After I got out of the Air Force I went to work at the Seabrook Station nuclear power plant) and have worked there ever since (about 18 years). We have 3 daughters. The oldest two have both attended MVHS (class of 1999 and 2002).

'I''ve been self-employed as a graphic designer since 1994, working out of my home. Currently also working PT at Lakes Region Mutual Fire Aid as their photographer and writer; in training to be a dispatcher. No longer a selectman (smartened up after it put me in the hospital!). I still have my home in Franklin with 3 of the kids still here (Stephen, Grade 10, John, Grade 9 & Alyssa, Grade 8). My oldest daughter Sarah and her husband are anxiously awaiting word from Immigration to travel to Russia where they are "expecting" to adopt 2 children. "Gramma" is waiting patiently. I've been at EnergyNorth Propane for 5 years now and tremendously enjoy the variety my job provides. I missed the last reunion but will definitely see you all in 2001!

What a long, strange journey it has been . . . I would have graduated in 1971 if my father had not moved the family back to his hometown of Kent Bridge, Ontario, Canada. So, I was the kid that just sort of disappeared. . . but I remember many of you with fondness, George Sartorelli (my partner in crime), Kevin Carlysle, Les Corliss (and his beautiful sister Carol), His cousin Barb Corliss and her brother Dana, my cousin (who seems to have dropped of the planet) Jimmy Lake, and many, many others. I want to share a short story with all of you. It is an allegory of the first 26 years of my life . . . I don't know who wrote it, but it was an epiphanous moment for me when I read it, and it changed the course of my life. A man found an eagle's egg and put it in a nest of a barnyard hen. The eaglet hatched with the brood of chicks and grew up with them. All his life the eagle did what the barnyard chicks did, thinking he was a barnyard chicken. He scratched the earth for worms and insects. He clucked and cackled. And he would thrash his wings and fly a few feet into the air. Years passed and the eagle grew very old. One day he saw a magnificent bird above him in the cloudless sky. It glided in graceful majesty among the powerful wind currents, with scarcely a beat of its strong golden wings. The old eagle looked up in awe. "Who is that?" he whispered in wonder. "That's the eagle, the king of the birds," said his neighbor chicken. "He belongs to the sky. We belong to the earth--we're chickens." So the eagle lived and died a chicken, for that's what he thought he was. . . Such is ones' fate if you are not told that you can do better. . . . but that is another story. I got my GED on August 26, 1982, I was 29. I entered NH Vocational Technical College in Laconia a few years later. I attended classes full time and graduated Summa Cum Laude in the spring of 1984. Back then that was good enough to get a pretty good job. My first marriage failed soon after. I worked at Sprague Electric as an Engineering Tech for a few years then took a job with Summa Four in Manchester, NH. Great job but got caught in the tech slump of the time and was laid off. Took an engineering job in Utica, NY, worked a few years then quit and started my own business designing and manufacturing Giant Scale RC Aircraft for the high end sport and competition markets (turned a hobby into a business. . . how cliché). Did real well until NAFTA and the WTO changed the rules of global marketplaces and competition. Sold what was left of the business and worked for a couple years as an aviation mechanic at a facility that provided aircraft maintenance services to air cargo carriers and the US military. This was at the former Griffis Air Force SAC base in Rome, NY. Had enough of that and went to SUNY IT at Utica/Rome full time for two years and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Telecommunications Engineering on December 14, 2002. Not only was I the oldest student at 49, but I was also the head of my class. I am currently working as an RF Engineer for a company associated with Syracuse Research Corporation. Our clients include NY State Government and it's Agencies and the US Air Force Research Laboratory. My hobbies are playing the guitar in a blues band, working on my house, and building fast cars in the time left over (currently working on two Porsches). I am married (2nd for me 1st for her) to the most wonderful and prettiest lady in the world and have two cats that we both adore beyond words. Please, please feel free to email me. . . would love to hear from you.

Since high school I have remained in the Penacook area and most of my time and energy has been spent on my family (my number one priority), working and enjoying what life has to offer (sometimes surviving). I have gone to college, obtained a black belt in Isshin Ryu Karate and continued to look for opportunities to grow and learn (that obviously hasn't included leaving Penacook for very long, with the exception of one year in Arizona). I guess everything I need must be here.

To all my classmates and friends I wish you well!! I have been enjoying my 30+ married years right here in good old Webster. I've been a Rural Mail Carrier since 1986. My 3 children and 3 grandchildren keep me busy and in my spare time, well I guess I don't need to list my volunteer work. What sums me up the most is: "Life is good and I live it to the fullest every day!!!!"

Dennis and I are still married after all these years (almost 31 now!!) and we still live in Boscawen. I've worked for he Department of Corrections for about 32 years but unfortunately only 17 of them count toward retirement. At least I'm on the downhill swing! We are empty-nesters now. Our youngest son, Matt, has an apartment about a mile away from home and is still single. David, our oldest, has been married for a year and a half to Melanee and also lives about a mile away. I still go to Vegas with my sister every year. Life is VERY good!!

08-28-04 In a quiet moment I found this page and enjoyed reading about fellow classmates. I am living in Franklin NH with my daughter Elizabeth (Liz)19 and my new grandaughter Gabrielle born 07-14-04. After high school I worked as a CNA and in the Seth Thomas clock factory. I eventually went to the tech and became an LPN, I lived on the gulf coast of Florida for three years, returning to NH after my daughter was born. I have worked at the Merrimack County Nursing Home since that time in a variety of positions currently in the physicians office. I would love to corrispond with any of you and enjoy reading your bio's. Keep them up.
